When I first stumbled upon Sonny Lubick Steakhouse’s Beer & Burger Happy Hour Special a couple of years ago on http://www.todaysdiningdeals.com/, it was $11.99 for a fresh-ground tenderloin steakburger and a pint of beer. In fact, Today’s Dining Deals's website still has it listed at that price. However, after contacting the restaurant via their Faebook page (they responded immediately which I LOVE), I discovered it’s actually $12.50 now. Although the price has slightly increased, I still think it’s a great deal for meal. I also don’t think many people know about it.
It’s been a while since I’ve taken advantage of Sonny’s Happy Hour Specials (a big thanks to my little girl), but to this day, their steakburger is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. They're just so... juicy! I recall getting fries with my burger the last time I was in, but maybe they don't come with the Happy Hour Special anymore. If you know, comment below and tell me!
Another thing I like about this happy hour deal is that it gives you a chance to eat at Sonny Lubick’s without going broke. The food is great (we were just there for date night on Saturday), but their menu is pretty spendy. I never think to grab a quick bite at the more expensive restaurants downtown after work, but this special reminds me that Sonny’s is a good option.
Aside from the Burger & Brew Special, Sonny’s has some other good Happy Hour offerings. From 4-7 and 9 to close, you can get $6.50 margaritas and martinis, $5.50 premium well drinks, $1 OFF beer (draft & bottled) and wine by the glass.
The next time you’re downtown and craving a burger, instead of heading to one of the more obvious choices, consider heading to Sonny Lubick’s. And although some of the content may need to be updated, I do find that http://www.todaysdiningdeals.com/ is a pretty good resource for Happy Hour specials around town. The site also has a couple decent coupons to print.
Coupon offers are available the date that I post them but may change at any time.
