Headed out of town and unsure what to do with your pets? Join the club. My family and I are headed to Italy this summer and don’t know if the friend who usually watches our dog, Scout, will be able to accommodate her this time around. We have boarded Scout before, but she’s scared of other dogs and the experience was a little hard on her. And let’s not forget, boarding can be expensive! This leaves us to consider other options. Recently, I stumbled upon NoCo Pet Sitting. Pet sitter and owner, Danielle Gulbrandson, will actually come to your house and watch your pet while you’re away. Their services range from vacation/drop-in pet care, overnight visits and dog walking to pet-related errands. While checking out their website, I noticed the rates are pretty reasonable. The initial 30-40 minute consultation to talk about your pet(s) is free, and regardless of what Fido needs, you can use one of the coupons below to save a little money. Currently, NoCo Pet Sitting is running 3 coupon offers*: *Coupons expire 14 days from print date. Obviously having never used their services, I can’t necessarily recommend NoCo Pet Sitting, but I can say if my friend falls through, I will be calling them to learn more. I can also tell you that NoCo Pet Sitting cares for more than just dogs and cats and can also attend to to your birds, small furry animals, fish and more. They are bonded and insured through Pet Sitters Associates and are PET CPR/First-Aid Certified. Noco Pet Sitting is based out of Loveland, but serve the surrounding area. If you’re planning a vacation around a major holiday, note that there is an additional $3 charge per visit.

If Dad is a golfer, you have to check out the golf coupons below. I know nothing about golf. My husband isn’t much of a golfer either, so I am unable to provide a lot insight in regard to the courses below. I will include plenty links so you can check them out on your own though. Note: This post does not include a complete list of all the golf courses in Fort Collins and Loveland. These are simply the courses I was able to find savings for. If you think I am missing something, let me know. MARIANA BUTTE GOLF COURSE Mariana Butte is an 18-hole course located at 701 Clubhouse Dr. in Loveland. According to the City of Loveland, Mariana Butte features “soaring elevated trees, challenging holes that border the rushing Big Thompson River, and breathtaking vistas of the Rocky Mountain Front Range.” Until October 31, 2014, you can print one of these coupons for the course:
THE OLDE COURSE AT LOVELAND The Olde Course on Loveland is described as the “Grand Dame” of golf in Loveland and is located at 2215 W. 29th St. The course is challenging and players must work their way around 6 ponds and an island green. The Olde Course coupons are good until October 31, 2014 and include:
MOUNTAIN VISTA GOLF COURSE Mountain Vista is located at 2808 NE Frontage Road in Fort Collins. It’s 9 hole course and I hear it’s a good place to practice. Mountain Vista Golf Course lists coupons on their website:
SOUTHRIDGE GOLF CLUB Southridge Golf Club is located at 5750 S. Lemay in Fort Collins. It is an 18 hole course and according to their site, is a good course for players of all ages and ability. Southridge’s newsletter announced they’re currently holding a Father’s Day Sale
If Dad is a big golfer, than perhaps it’s worth considering a City Premier Card to get discounts at all 3 Fort Collins golf courses. You can save up to 23% on tee times and cart rentals, and you can use the card for league play as well. You can purchase a Premier card at any pro shop and it can be used at the City Park Nine, Collindale, and Southridge courses.
Happy golfing! Remember, coupons and offers are available when I post them, but can change at any time. I mean, they have 3 Fort Collins locations, one Loveland store, and according to their website, they were named one of the top 100 bicycle retailers in the nation. In addition to bikes and accessories, Lee's also provides repair services, bicycle fittings, and more. So, with bike season in full swing, I figured Lee's current Anniversary Sale offers could be of use to a few of you out there. If you opened your Valpak envelope this month (should have been out in last week's mail), then you may have noticed the Lee's Cyclery Anniversary Sale insert. Pay attention the fine print, because you can NOT take the ad into the store to redeem. You actually have to go online HERE to print the offers. Once you get the coupon page, you can browse their current offers to see if one will help you out. If you have a bike in need of tuning or accessories, or if you just plain need a bike, I think you'll find what you're looking for.
On a non-savings note, I just want to ask you all to be careful out on the road. Wear a helmet! For those (like me), who aren't big bikers, please be sure to pay attention to cyclists while you drive. Put the phone DOWN! My husband Joe and I are gearing up for a date night out! Right before our baby was born we promised we would immediately institute a date night every week, just the two of us. We had grand plans of finding a babysitter who would come watch the baby every Thursday while we would go out and party like we did before I got pregnant. Well, the baby is 8 months old now, and we’ve only been out twice. We have attempted to party both times, but apparently we can’t make it much past 11 these days. We are lame. We get tired, start stressing about how awful it would be to change diapers with a hangover, then start missing the baby’s chubby little face, and we end up rushing home. Despite the fact that our nights out haven’t been as frequent or as flashy as we had originally hoped, we still believe it’s important to set time aside for just the two of us. I’ve been told that we should try not to talk about the baby while we’re out because it’s about reconnecting as a couple, but we’re those people who won’t shut up about how brilliant our baby is. I went searching for Midtown Arts Center’s coupon in Valpak this month, because if Joe and I stand any chance of going out and not talking about the baby, we’ll need to be kept very entertained. I've never seen a show at Midtown Arts Center (formerly Carousel Dinner Theater), but I have only ever heard good things about it. In fact, one of my co-workers loves it so much she has season tickets. Midtown Arts Center usually has good coupons so you can check it out if you’ve never been, and want to see if it’s the scene for you. Midtown is currently presenting Les Misèrables (I feel like I’m the only person who’s never seen Les Mis), and it will run until November 23rd.
View coupons HERE I think Joe and I will take advantage of the $99 Date Night offer from Midtown Arts Center, but when I was looking for other date night ideas, I came across this fun postcard announcement from Harrington Arts Academy in Loveland that might be great fun for someone else: Unfortunately, I don’t have a coupon for this event, but a Vintage 1920’s Glam Gala sounds like a lot of fun regardless of the price! You could get dressed up with your significant other ($120 a couple) or co-workers from the office ($600 for a table of 8) and help support the arts while you enjoy a fancy 3-course dinner, dancing, an auction, and an OPEN bar. Proceeds from the event will be used to help Harrington Arts Academy continue to provide students (of all ages) in the community with a variety of art courses: acting, musical theatre, improvisation, dance, creating writing, painting, mommy & me activities, art & crafts and more.
Harrington’s Arts Academy’s Vintage 1920’s Night will begin at 6:30pm on Saturday, October 12th. Seats are limited, so be sure to get online or call (970) 391-8397 to reserve your tickets today. |
Coupon offers are available the date that I post them but may change at any time.
