Colorado has 42 state parks and you and the family could visit them all for FREE this summer. Colorado Parks and Wildlife have partnered with the Colorado Library to offer the Check-Out Colorado program. Each of 287 libraries has two seven-day hang-tag park passes good for entrance to all Colorado state parks, and they can be reserved and checked-out just as books can. The pass also includes a backpack a guide to Colorado’s state parks, a set of binoculars, a copy of Wildlife Viewing Guide Book and field guides to trees, wildflowers and wildlife. Each state park pass allows FREE entry (normally $7 to $9) into the parks for one carload of visitors. You can hike or bike the multi-use trails, visit a nature center or bring a picnic. With a license or camping reservation, you can try fishing or camp out overnight. Visit your local library or check the Participating Libraries List to find a library near you.
I am currently 8 months pregnant, so the family and I don't plan to make a big trip over Memorial Day weekend. We have however, decided to wander down to Denver for a day so we can take our daughter to the Butterfly Pavilion. I have actually never been either, so I am also looking forward to it!
In preparation for the trip, I was on the Pavilion's website and found this coupon for admission that I thought I'd pass along to you. Use it and you'll get $1 OFF admission for up to 4 people. Although it may not be a HUGE savings, I still think every bit helps!
Coupons, deals, and offers are available at the time that I post them, but I cannot guarantee how long they will be valid or available for use.
I think we can all agree that anything fun costs at least $40, especially if you're looking for something to do with the entire family. That is why I am always on the lookout for FREE fun, which brings my to today's post.
The Promenade Shops at Centerra will be hosting their tenth annual Movies on Main presented by the Bank of Colorado. Simply show up with your blankets, lawn chairs, and what have you and set up on the main plaza for FREE. You can show up as early as 7 for games, contests, and trivia, but the movies won't begin until sunset, which is about 9ish. FREE popcorn and cotton candy will be provided before the movie starts while supplies last!
